Onkel Rainer, I’m glad that I had the Opportunity to come and see you sit down have a meal and go through old pictures a couple years ago. My grumpy old uncle you were so much more than that. I hear your voice telling me Gisi your mother and Oma are going to kill me. So many summers ago you showed up and took me on one of the most memorable trips of my life. I was the dumb kid that went up to the bear whilst it was eating on an elf carcass. I climbed everywhere we stopped a trip thought the Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone, devils tower, the bars lands, Mount Rushmore/crazy horse. You had a smirk on your face you were so happy that I understand now that it was joy on your face because you were there bringing me an amazing experience and I was living it up! Thank you for that and the many other memories flooding through my mind today of you doing things just to get a reaction out of mom(Gisi) your stories about threats of getting your little sister she bites and scratches I actually learned a lot from you in the time we had. I love you Onkel Rainer wish we had more because I think we are a lot alike in ways. Tarry no longer Onkel❤️
